I enjoyed making this loving scarf with lacy crochet stitch. This lacy stitch gives a very elegant look to this scarf and shiny yarn adds more beauty.

Number of rows will be the length of the scarf.

Pattern

Chain is multiple of 6 + 4

Chain 22 ( 18 +4)

Row 1: sc in 3 chains, chain 4, sk 3 chains,  sc in next 3 chains, chain 4, sk 3 chains, sc in next 3 chains, chain 4, sk 3 chains, sc in last 3 chains.

( since I have 18 chains, I repeated the pattern 3 times, if you have more chains you will need to continue with the same pattern of 3 sc, 4 ch, sk 3 ch, 3 sc)

Row 2: ch 7, turn, *dc in 3rd sc chain, sc in chain space, dc 1st sc chain, ch4,* dc 3rd sc chain, sc in chain space, dc in 1st sc chain, ch 4,* dc in 3rd sc chain, sc in ch space ,dc in 1st sc chain, ch4, dc in the last ch. ( I did same pattern 3 times)

Row 3: ch 3, turn, sc in chain space, dc 1st dc chain,* ch4, dc 3rd dc chain, sc in chain space, dc in 1st dc chain,* ch 4, dc in 3rd dc chain, sc in chain space, dc in 1st dc chain, ch4, dc in 3rd dc chain, sc in chain space, dc in 3rd chain from the bottom of the loop. ( this can be tricky as last loop is 7 chains so dc in 3 rd ch)

Row 4: ch 7, turn the work, dc in 3rd dc chain, sc in chain space, dc in the 1st chain, ch 4, dc in the 3rd chain, sc in chain space, dc in 1st chain, ch 4, dc in 3rd chain, sc in chain space, dc in 1st chain, ch 4, dc under the loop.

Row 5🙁 repeat row 3)ch 3, turn, sc in chain space, dc in 1st chain, ch 4, dc in the 3rd chain, sc in the chain space, dc in the 1st chain, ch 4, dc in the 3rd chain, sc chain space, dc in the 1st chain, ch 4, dc in the 3rd chain, sc in the chain space, dc in the 3rd chain from the bottom.

Row 6: (repeat row 4) ch 7, turn, dc in the 3rd chain, sc into chain space, dc in the 1st chain, ch 4, dc into the 3rd chain, sc in the chain space, dc in the 1st chain, ch4, dc in the 3rd chain, sc in the chain space, dc in the 1st chain, ch 4, dc in the last little loop.

Continue row 5 and row 6 till the length you desire.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Once you get hang of the repeat pattern it’s fun to make this scarf. I love the lacy look of this scarf and I am going to try a few different colors. Hope you like it and enjoy making this scarf.

You can make fringe at both ends if you like. I made 5’ inches of fringes on my scarf.
